Games are ON – Sun. January 20th

Let’s play soccer!

Games are GO for this Sunday, January 20th.

Please take into consideration this statement from the City of San Luis Obispo regarding field conditions:

Fields are open for play this weekend. Please note that grass has not been mowed since last week so play will be slow. Lines are visible and the fields still have some moisture.

Please remember that if the following conditions are present, you should stay off the fields:

  • If there are standing puddles of water on the field
  • If the footing is unsure and slippery
  • If the ground is water logged and “squishy”
  • If the grass can be pulled out of the ground easily

If any of these conditions are present, please stay off the fields.

See you on the field!!

Fall Redemption Tournament Begins This Weekend!

First off, Congratulations to The Turkey Vultures on their Fall 2018 Season Win and an undefeated season!!

Now it’s time for REDEMPTION!

Here is the schedule for the next three weekends (rain will cancel, however we have Dec. 2 and Dec. 9 available just in case).

As a friendly reminder, PLEASE do not bring dogs to Damon Garcia. Due to a continuing issue regarding off-leash dogs and the lack of picking up after pets, dogs are not permitted at Damon-Garcia Sports Complex, including when on-leash – with the exception of service dogs. If a citation is issued based on violating the SLO City Municipal Code it will be issued to the dog owner and they bear responsibility for their actions.

Thank you, and have fun!!

SLO Parks and Rec has just contacted us – they have closed the fields as of 12PM tomorrow due to the rainstorm that is predicted to come in. We WILL NOT have games this Sunday, March 11th.

Below is a revised schedule for the remainder of the season. Here is a link to a printable PDF.

We have the fields for another 5 weeks, and as voted on at the January meeting, we have now scheduled for all 12 of the Sundays available to us according to the permit that we applied for.

PLEASE NOTE: We do take a break on April 1st  for Easter, and since we are the lowest on the priority list for the City, we didn’t get the fields on April 8th due to a youth tournament.

Enjoy your weekend!!

Due to the amount of rain we’ve received, the City of SLO has closed Damon Garcia for this coming weekend.

Please inform your teams accordingly. Games will be made up the next available rain-free weekend.

Just a Reminder – No Games Feb. 4th

Hope you are all enjoying your Spring 2018 season so far!!

This is just a quick reminder that there are no games next weekend, February 4th. We’ll be back and at it on February 11th!
